Nanlan Jiang, Ph.D., Lecturer and Engineer, Supervisor of Master's Candidates. He graduated from Hangzhou Dianzi University with a Bachelor's degree in Communication Engineering in 2011 and a Master's degree in Communication and Information Systems in 2014. In 2015, he was awarded the Top 5% Excellent Master's Thesis by Hangzhou Dianzi University. From 2017 to 2018, he was a jointly-cultivated Ph.D. student sponsored by the Chinese Government at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU LEUVEN), a top 100 university worldwide. Between 2018 and 2019, he served as a Specialty Product Manager and Operational Consultant at VariFlight Technology Co., Ltd. In 2020, he completed his Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from the State Key Laboratory of Mobile Communications at Southeast University. In 2022, he was granted the Jiangsu Province Innovative and Entrepreneurial Doctorate.
He has published 8 SCI and EI papers and holds 1 Chinese invention patent. He serves as a reviewer for international reputable journals and conferences such as IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology (TVT), IEEE Internet of Things Journal(IoT-J), IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, IEEE Communications Letters, IEEE Global Communications Conference (IEEE GLOBECOM), IET Signal Processing, Journal of Communications and Networks, Cluster Computing, Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies, and IEEE Access. He has led one provincial research project and one university-level research project.
His current research interests include the Internet of Things, wireless communications, visible light communications, wireless positioning, and location management. The team is goal-oriented, fully respects each member's research interests, encourages exploration, and aims for outstanding achievements, emphasizes pragmatism and efficiency, and does not schedule regular meetings. Students interested in pursuing advanced studies in communications and networking are welcome to join the team.
